Within hours of its much-anticipated theatrical release, Allu Arjun’s blockbuster sequel, Pushpa 2, became a victim of piracy. The film, which hit global screens on December 5, was released in six languages across more than 12,000 screens.
The premieres received overwhelming praise from fans and cinema enthusiasts, who were captivated by Allu Arjun’s portrayal of Pushparaj in the epic sequel. Setting new benchmarks, Pushpa 2 recorded historic opening-day collections in India and worldwide. The total global box office earnings on its release day are estimated to be around ₹230 crore.
Allu Arjun takes on the role of Pushpa Raj, a determined and clever man who rises against all odds to lead a red sandalwood smuggling syndicate. The story takes a dramatic turn when Banwar Singh Shekhawat, portrayed by Fahadh Faasil, steps in as a fierce and determined officer to crack down on the illegal smuggling activities and apprehend Pushpa Raj.
Their intense rivalry escalates during a critical moment—Pushpa Raj’s wedding to Srivalli, played by Rashmika Mandanna. The sequel delves into the gripping and action-packed face-off between Pushpa Raj and Banwar Singh Shekhawat, promising an epic showdown.

The movie stars Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj, Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli, Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, Jagadeep Prathap Bandari as Kesava, Sunil as Mangalam Srinu, Anasuya Bharadwaj as Dakshayani, Rao Ramesh as MP Bhumireddy Siddappa Naidu, Dhananjaya as Jaali Reddy, Ajay as Molleti Mohan, Sritej as Molleti Dhrama Raj, Mime Gopi as Chennai Murugan, Brahmaji as Sub-Inspector Kupparaj, and Kalpalatha as Parvatamma. In addition to the cast reprising their roles in the sequel, Jagapathi Babu was seen playing a pivotal role in the film. Sreeleela sizzled in the special item track ‘Kissik.’
Written and directed by Sukumar, the movie was co-written by Srikanth Vissa. Miroslaw Kuba Brozek cranked the camera and AA Films is distributing the movie. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar of the Mythri Movie Makers banner in association with Sukumar Writings, the movie has its editing done by Karthika Srinivas and Ruben. Pushpa 2 marks yet another epic collaboration between the successful trio Sukumar-Allu Arjun-Devi Sri Prasad.
